current update!
I really do like this series and the second book is real fun but I hit a point I just couldnt read about horrible shit happening to this kid :( I might come back and finish Half Lost some other time just for a resolution.
I watched the netflix show forever ago and thought "man I bet this is based on a book, and I bet the book SLAPS" and ya know what? yeah it was awesome! great book! definately NOT the same as the show at all. HEAVY handed racism metaphor that feels almost not even like a metaphor because its so obvious. I had so much fun reading about the fucked up ways this kid is being traumatized and exploring this witch world. unfortunately I wouldnt reccomend the series.
Yay! big fan of this stupid lesbian who has no clue whats going on. I would do exactly the same in every situation she is in. excelent book 10/10 dont ask me what its about I am still not sure.
